Channeling Care for Cancer

We have joined our love for the water to help those battling cancer. All of us have swam a solo crossing or a member of relay across the English Channel.

Come follow us swim around Manhattan, NY and later across Long Island Sound, all for a good cause.

St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation, www.swimacrossthesound.org helps patients and families battling the burdens that cancer has faced them.

Here we are getting ready to swim 36 minutes in 48F cold water out at Brighton Beach/Coney Island. Needed to get the 'job done' for a recent cold water qualifying swim to be on the relay. Luckily, baby Sana slept in Daddy's pouch carrier while the bigger kids played in the sand. "Mommy why is the water so cold? And why are you swimming?" Funny my mom used to ask the same question. Why not...
